PA2233 FOR FORD 7.3L DIESELS

Baldwin Filters is pleased to announce the PA2233 air filter for Ford 7.3L diesel applications. The PA2233 incorporates a unique dual sealing bead design which will allow for complete and adequate sealing in either of the two Ford air filter housings which have been fitted to these engines. The drawing below illustrates the double seal bead design of the PA2233 as it mates with the old and new housing designs. Without the double seal bead, there was a danger with some manufacturers' single bead designs that the filter element would not maintain a seal during the service life of the element. As the element became restricted and began to be pulled inward, the seal would unseat and contaminant could enter the engine. The PA2233 will be applicable to all 7.3L applications using the Motorcraft FA1617 element.

The PA2233, like all Baldwin heavy duty air filter elements, uses a specially designed heavy duty air filter media to provide maximum filtration efficiency and high capacity for long service life. As compared to the Motorcraft FA1617, the PA2233 will deliver approximately 30% greater contaminant capacity while also providing 99.9% filtration efficiency (as determined using standard SAE test procedures, J726). The PA2233 is designed and built to protect the Ford 7.3L engine in its many tough service applications.
