BALDWIN PT769 SUPERSEDED BY PT8395 AND PT8396 | |

The Baldwin PT769 hydraulic element has been obsoleted and superseded by the PT8395 and PT8396. The need for replacing the PT769 with two different part numbers resulted from various applications, and their requirements for which the PT769 was previously listed. We have experienced the need to increase the structural integrity of the PT769 for some of these applications and elected to replace it with two new numbers.
Baldwin Filters will offer the PT8395 and PT8396 filters as direct replacements to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's filters for the specific applications. The PT8395 hydraulic element should be used on International, Dresser and Hough applications previously calling for a PT769. It will replace International 940241-C2, Donaldson P164270 and Fleetguard HF6223. |
The PT8395 has a steel centertube and steel outer wrapper to retain the pleated media, which is strengthened by pleat stabilizers.
The PT8396 hydraulic element should be used on Volvo Michigan Euclid (VME) applications previously calling for a PT769. It will replace Volvo M2560232, Donaldson P161632, Fleetguard HF6421 and American Hoist 1015077. The PT8396 has a steel centertube with two centertube support rings and a steel outer wrapper. The pleated media is supported on each side with wire screen. We plan to have the PT8395 and PT8396 elements available during the month of October 1997.
